Do you need a refresh?

For the past few months, I've been in major experimentation mode.

I’m not exactly sure what’s going on, but I have a feeling that I need a refresh.

I love my life and my work. I live in a great place. I don’t see any MAJOR changes on the horizon.

But a refresh?

Taking steps to create an updated version of me?

Shedding some of the old to make room for the new?

That sounds exactly right.

Here are some of my clues that I’m in refresh mode. In the past three months, I've felt absolutely compelled to:

  • Cover up half my yard with mulch, pull out entire shrubs, and dig up irises that have probably been there for 25 years

  • Book a 12-day solo trip to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

  • Pull four piles of clothes out of my closet in TEN MINUTES that no longer feel like me and I have no interest in wearing

  • Dye my hair three shades darker

(Those last two took place within 12 hours of each other!)

And it's not just in my personal life - work is in refresh and experimentation mode too, including:

And coming soon....

  • Completely updated website! (This one is very soon, like 2-3 weeks!)

  • Launching the women's leadership development program Leading With Grounded Confidence in early 2025! I'm exceptionally excited for this one 🤩 (Get on the waitlist here and be the first to find out all the details)

Do all these little changes mean a bigger change is coming?

Maybe, but I don’t really think so.

All I know is that I'm following my curiosity and intuition and desire to experiment be more BOLD - and it feels SO GOOD.

What about you? Where do you need a refresh in your life?

Sometimes those pulls toward change don't make complete sense in the moment, but I can also tell you that I've never regretted following them to learn more.

Sometimes they lead toward a refresh that energizes me to my core.

And sometimes bigger things do end up happening.

Things like new jobs and writing books and moving to Colorado.

Both the small refreshes and the big changes lead me down a path that is entirely my own, separate from “should” and “supposed-to.”

And that is worth everything.
