Advocating For Yourself

Is it hard to advocate for yourself, just for you? If so, know this - You are allowed to advocate for yourself in the same way you advocate for others.

I noticed a few years ago that nearly all the stories I heard about women advocating had one thing in common: They were doing it on behalf of other people.

This feeds right into all the rules we get that women are supposed to take care of everyone and be responsible for everything.

Let me be clear - advocating for others is good!

But you also get to advocate for yourself, just on behalf of you. For your salary, your time, your energy - anything.

No recipient needed except for yourself.
